Nuestras Raices Literary Arts Festival
Posted February 21st, 2006 by Administrator in News, Front Page, For Groups, RemotesThe Access Tucson remote production truck will be on location for the Tucson - Pima library’s kickoff of ” Nuestras Raices Literary Arts Festival– Tucson Celebrates Mexican American Authors, Arts and Culture. The opening event, Homenanaje: La Vida de Lalo Guerrero, will be held at the historic Fox Tucson Theatre, Friday March 3rd. The program will pay tribute to the legendary father of Chicano music, Eduardo “Lalo” Guerrero.
The Homenaje features tributes by local writers, musicians dancers, and performing artists, Adalberto Gallegos, Mariachis Los Changuitos Feos, Ted Ramirez, Mike Ronstadt and the Santa Cruz River Band, and writer Patricia Preciado Martin, with Ernesto Portillo, Jr., as master of ceremonies.
