Amy Goodman Oct 13 Visit to Benefit Access Tucson and KXCI 91.3FM.

WHO: Tucson welcomes award-winning journalist Amy Goodman, host of the daily, grassroots, global, radio/TV news hour Democracy Now!, on her national speaking tour to mark DN!’s 10th anniversary and launch her second book with journalist David Goodman, Static: Government Liars, Media Cheerleaders, and the People Who Fight Back.

WHAT: Amy Goodman will speak in Tucson about independent media and her new book on Friday, October 13th at the Rialto Theatre at 6:15pm. Tickets are available at Access Tucson, KXCI, and the Rialto Theatre. Proceeds to benefit local community media, Access Tucson and KXCI 91.3 FM.

WHERE: The Rialto Theatre: 318 E. Congress St. (prior to the Allison Moorer/Steve Earle concert at 9:00 p.m.) Booksigning will be next door at 320 E. Congress immediately after Amy Goodman speaking event.

WHEN: Friday, Oct 13th at 6:15 p.m. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Pizza and bar available.
