Information Technology Manager
Responsible to: Executive Director
SUMMARY
The Information Technology Manager performs computer and technology related administrative functions necessary for organizational operations.
DUTIES
- Administer a Windows 2000/XP network with Exchange mail server
- Manage in-house MS Access database system and assist users with its operation.
- Administer Unix (Linux / BSD) web, backup, and firewall servers
- Maintain and enhance Access Tucson Website using PHP and MySQL
- Administer Mac OS X 10.4 Server and Client computers, running Final Cut
Pro/Express nonlinear video editing programs - Assist Access Tucson staff and members with computer-related tasks and questions
- Make recommendations on computer hardware and software purchases.
- Manage public internet access facilities in the Access Tucson lobby
- Development of internet and new technology initiatives consistent with the
public access mission of Access Tucson
REQUIREMENTS
Training and Experience
Any combination of training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field and three years of increasingly responsible experience in administration of computers systems. Professional certifications in Mac, Windows, and Unix a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with Windows, Mac, and Unix systems in desktop and server roles
- Understanding of LAN and WAN networking using TCP/IP protocols
- Familiarity with office, design, and video editing computer applications.
- Excellent oral and communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively on a team
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with the public
Other Potential Requirements
- Availability of an Arizona Driver’s license.
- Spanish/English bilingual capability preferred.
