AIDS Walk 2006
Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation or, SAAF strives:
To create and sustain a healthier community through a compassionate, comprehensive response to HIV/AIDS.
Access Tucson’s goal for the 2006 AIDS Walk was to embody the spirit of the event to share with the community. For those that have never participated in a walk for a cause before, this program offered a behind the scenes look at being a participant. It also illustrated the educational goals of SAAF and most importantly, allowed people to share their stories about how AIDS has directly impacted their lives.
Community leaders and participants of all ages turned out to make this an incredibly successful event. SAAF plans to use the resulting program as an outreach tool for next year’s walk. Access Tucson is already on board to showcase the Tucson community’s participation in 2007.
