The Western Access Video Excellence (WAVE) awards recognize excellence in community media production and operations within the Western States Region of the Alliance for Community Media. Six western states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, New Mexico and Nevada make up the region.

Varied categories include documentary production, talk shows, community impact programming, performing arts, and many more. Both professional and nonprofessional divisions are available.
