Free Speech and a Chocolate Fountain
Posted April 2nd, 2008 by daniela in NewsIt’s the 2008 Annual Meeting and Volunteer Recognition Celebration!
Begin the evening in Studio A as part of the studio audience for the live, one-hour cablecast program, “What’s this show about?” Public access producers are very familiar with this question—especially from live, call-in viewers. Access Tucson examines how producers are using television to engage the community and answer the critics who claim that hardly anyone watches Access Tucson. The diverse panel includes:
• Don & Diane Bombshelter, Wiggin’ Out with the Bombshelters
• Hector Urias & Adam Romo, Hectic Atoms
• Michelle Bart, Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation, AIDS Walk
• Keith Smith, Department of Economic Security, Full Circle: Recovery Takes a Community
• Martha McGrath, The Tony Redhouse Show
Following the show, head down to Access Tucson’s lobby to nibble on goodies you can drench in the chocolate fountain. The election results for the three open seats on the Access Tucson Board of Directors will be announced. And last, but not least, the best volunteers in the world will receive the applause and recognition they deserve.
Join us on April 10 and celebrate public access television; celebrate the voices and the people of Tucson.
