Stories That Soar Premieres at the Loft

Access Tucson invites you to join us at the Loft Cinema for the premiere of “Stories that Soar” on Saturday, July 19 at 10am. The documentary was filmed by Access Tucson, as part of the 2008 Tucson International Children’s Film Festival, in collaboration with the Loft Cinema and SharMoore Children’s Productions.
We take you into the world of the Magic Box whose insatiable hunger is only relieved by eating stories written by children. Filmed at Anna Lawrence Intermediate School on the Pascua Yaqui Pueblo, meet the young authors who learn to write stories to feed the box and go behind the scenes with Stories that Soar, a professional theatrical troupe who turns the stories into mini-plays.
“Stories That Soar” is not just for children; it’s for any of us who’ve dreamed and daydreamed—–and wanted our stories to soar.
